Augmenteum’s active optics platform unlocks use cases requiring high definition imaging. Our technology enhances camera and sensor systems by correcting optical aberrations directly in the optical path, before photons reach the detector. This approach improves image sharpness, effective resolution, and consistency across wide fields of view without adding mechanical complexity.
Our thin, transmissive liquid-crystal elements dynamically correct defocus, astigmatism, tip/tilt, and thermally induced distortions in milliseconds. This enables compact camera modules to maintain high image quality across temperature changes, manufacturing tolerances, and dynamic operating conditions. Because corrections occur optically rather than digitally, downstream computer vision, sensing, and analytics pipelines benefit from cleaner raw data.
The technology is compatible with visible, NIR, and multi-spectral sensors, and integrates into existing lens stacks without requiring a full camera redesign.
